TAX CREDITS OR REBATES

The American Recovery and Revitalization Act of 2009 provides homeowners a significant tax incentive to make improvements to the overall energy efficiency of their homes, including windows and doors.
Consumers who invest in replacement windows are eligible for a tax credit equal to 30% of the amount they invest up to a maximum amount of $1500, but installation costs are not to be included.
* Exterior windows - Not all ENERGY STAR labeled windows qualify for tax credit. All of our Sunrise Windows currently qualify for the tax credit, provided they are manufactured with, at a minimum, the Ultra-U Plus Glass.
* Storm windows must meet IECC in combination with the exterior window over which it is installed, for the applicable climate zone. Manufacturer Certification Statement will list classes of exterior window (single pane, clear glass, double pane, low-E coating, etc.) that a product may be combined with to b e eligible in specific climate zones.
* Exterior doors - Not all ENERGY STAR doors will qualify.
* Storm doors- In combination with a wood door assigned a default U-factor by the IECC, and does not exceed the default U-factor requirement assigned to such combination by the IECC.
