TYPE OF INSULATION WE USE

Hochstedler Energy Systems uses ECI II cellulose insulation blown into sidewalls and attics. This cellulose is eco-friendly, being recycled from shreaded newspapers that would otherwise end up in the landfill. The cellulose insulation is treated with a fire retardant chemical for safety purposes.

Our current recommendation is that you have at least ten inches of blown cellulose in your attic. This gives you an R-38 insulation value and will greatly decrease the amount of indoor air escaping through your ceiling.
